move to wichita falls. When I first moved here in 2001, we had a "plague" of crickets, then moths, then beatles. I may have the order wrong, but the damn things were so thick they were literally like carpet. The street sweepers ran non stop cleaning the damn things up. I thought we had moved to hell.
Laws and Codes were around well before Christianity was even thought about. Not to mention morality. And no morality is not objective.
I've heard of the boogeyman. I've even seen man's interpretation of him. But I still don't BELIEVE he is real and I deny his existence.
i know you have some life experiences that kicked ass and were caused by god. is it possible those acts were done by a muslim god or maybe just a really powerful sorcerer that only manages the baton rouge area? how can we know it is one all powerful christian god? (i didnt mean for that question to be as disrespectful as it sounds)
WOW!!!!!! That one confused me.....and I think I'm on your side. I guess I'll just go to bed and try again tomorrow.
That's argumentative and doesn't even begin to discuss that more people have been killed in the name of a god than any other reason. Well of course it has to be spelled out. The world isn't limited to only your viewpoint. There are billions of people here with millions of viewpoints. How could they possibly all be right? The only way you're POV could be correct is if there were like a dozen people on the planet. Even then, it's highly debatable. I was a heathen-witnessing, bible banging, ministering child of christ for 25 years so my knowledge of the Bible is far from limited. I have actually read it from cover to cover no less than three times. I knew the Bible better than most. I have no need to know any more because the scripture hasn't changed since I read it last. I only limited my responses to the ten commandments because they're the most sacred among the fundies and I don't have the time or desire to dig into the contradictions between old and new testaments. It basically boils down to people picking and choosing which parts of the Bible they want to believe. No denomination is exempt from this practice and the fact that it's so widely accepted without challenge completely exposes religion for the sham that is truly is.
