jennings screen pass looks like a duck falling from the sky. and we are talking about a 4 yard pass here.
thats a problem with slow motion replay. every pass looks good or easily catchable. at full speed you see the momentum of the player and the ball location make it rather impossible to get to.
Sorry, I call bullshit. One pass to Quinn was absolutely perfect, the other was slightly behind but still in his torso range and he got both hands on it. Don't remember precisely where the Dupre drop was, but I do remember I and 2 or three others in the game thread immediately called him out for not catching it. These guys were 5-star recruits, catch the fucking ball. Never said Jennings is anywhere near Mett. He's obviously not.
Then prove it. Quinn was diving on both. Again, I am not saying Quinn "shouldn't" have caught it, but a perfect pass is "IN STRIDE"....
lobs are good on screens. the d is usually allowed to rush and the qb has to get it over the lineman. and it also allows the blockers more time to set up. jennings made a good one early in the game and the last one which was dropped. that play call could have bailed the shitty things we did, out.
To an extent I agree, but there are times where the guy is so wide open, if the ball gets there with any velocity, it = more yards. These balls are thrown so slow.
what do you expect from a guy who probably has less than 20 catches all year? its easy to blame a guy for drops when the inept qb has developed no chemistry with any wr minus dural. nonsense. you cant turn to a passing game with your ass on the line when youve done nothing all year to develop one. thats on the hc. nothing surprising happened late. except people expecting us to suddenly complete passes. it doesnt work that way.
I have no idea what game you were watching. Quinn didn't have to dive for either ball. The first one hit him in stride and he had to slow down for the second one.
