These were made up and Obama didn't say them? If someone made up quotes and put his name on them wouldn't that be slander? Would it be criminal to do something like that or at least be able to be taken to civil court? I would be very pissed if someone made up a damaging quote and put my name on it. I'm no Obama fan but this is wrong.
snopes is ran by a couple of liberal hacks (in case you didn't know) and slander is almost impossible to prove. Everyday joes like us have next to no chance of ever winning a slander case regardless of what is said.
That’s true - oh NO wait! Who fact checks the fact checker web sites? They claim to be the source of truth - but you never know, some of them are set up to only debunk lies about select subjects. It’s like the Iowa Pig Farmers Association running adds about the 'other white meat'. "Almost as healthy as turkey - but tastes like beacon. The perfect food." Martin's right - the internet is fertile ground for propaganda. PS – The Iowa Pig Farmers Association is a fictional group. Any resemblance to any other group real or imagined is unintentional. It’s a lie – just like ‘the other white meat’. FWIW - I love Pork.
There are stars and there are meteors. Stars aren’t flashy but they burn a long time. Meteors burn very bright for a short period and then are gone. I think time will show that Beck was a meteor, not a star.
are you alleging that the quote is true? over the years i have looked up hundreds of things on snopes, never have i seen any evidence of bias. so do you agree with me that the quote is not true, or are you just going to be wrong?
they link the references. in this case, the original article in the wall street journal, which you can see on the wsj site, with the quote as it actually is, directly demonstrating how it was misrepresented.
