Alabama had some injuries in that game too. Don't know the extent, but 2 of their linebackers were hurt.

The big 12's selling point in their commercials is that they are the only conference that guarantees their conference championship game is played by the 1 vs 2 team in the conference. Pretty pathetic.

Does VCU even have a football team?

They have a club team. They like to say VCU football is undefeated but we have lost. I say them lose to Galludet in the 70s. That's a school for the deaf. They had a big basses drum they would roll along the line of scrimmage on a sideline to signal "hike as they could pick up on the vibration. Oddly quiet game other than the boom boom booms

At 47, I'm damn-near crippled from two cheerleading injuries in high school. In face, I'm sitting here with a glass of pinot grigio and an ice pack on my bad knee.

The Louisiana School for the Deaf used to have a football team (high school)
They were pretty bad but their initials wewe LSD. When they lost the newspaper headline would say something like "LSD Trips Out 68-0."

No football at VCU. That's my undergrad alma mater. I attended LSU for grad school.
