a few ( very few ) OU fans know the truth as I said all along YES I said it. LSU was just a better team and even then We almost screwed up and let them back in it, with ill advised passing.
another subject, wont go into it here.

Soonerbird is one of the few OU fans I've met with some class. Most are arrogant and make excuses when they lose.
Sure OU could have played better and won, but LSU could have played better and dominated severely. The best OU could have done was squeak by with a win EVEN with Matt M. helping them at times.

I'm sure that the Titans and GB Packers used the QB injury excuse on their way to the playoffs...

McNair had HOW many practices he could actually practice in this year?

Favre's throwing thumb has had a little cast/wrap on it for how many months now? His dad passed away how many HOURS before he had a CAREER game?

    Gimme a break...

Phatkat , you know nothing of me so go back to your left coast. The complaints weren't there till LSU started winning. I don't need sports to justify my status in life. Just get tired of La and LSU being dumped on by unsubstanciated alligations. I attended both the SEC championship and the Sugar Bowl and saw none of the so called bad behaviour. Just saw fans on both sides having fun.

they're crying a river over this one. we all know LSU would never have beaten a healthy white ;) they can't wait to get hold of lsu next year in the orange. i can't wait either. the prospect of getting that overrated, immobile, heisman hyped goon again enthralls the lsu brain.

Mule - You are pathetic. And Mike, I will say farewell to you as I am signing off this board -- until or unless we play again. Then I will be back. OU has lost more national championship games than LSU has ever played in - we know how to win graciously and we know how to lose graciously. I had a great time chatting with Bama people for the past 2 years as we had a home and home with them. As for class, you guys couldn't hold Bama's jock. You are champions now - congratulations - maybe you should start to act like you have been there and done that. Good luck and hope to see ya next year in the Orange Bowl. Bring your football.

    Does anyone here really

believe that White's injury didn't affect his performance? The same QB who threw 40 TD's couldn't even throw a spiral after the 1sr quarter of the KS game. LSU played a fine game, but White was clearly injured.

    Congrats, anyway.

It's called Defense, the best in the nation in total and scoring. Like Lavalais said, it is kind of hard to throw when you are on your back.

    Sooner fans, consider this:

IF Jason White was so incapacitated by this injury, what in the world was he doing playing in the National Championship game against the nation's best defense???

I thought the whole idea was to WIN the game once you earned the right to get there. I can't believe that a great coach like Bob Stoops would go into such a game with a "gimpy" QB.

The only coach that's stupid enough to play an injured QB when postseason success is on the line is named HASLETT, not STOOPS.

Think Haz feels like a jackhole now, given the fact that the guy he didn't think was "good enough" to play for Aaron Brooks in late 2002 is on the verge of going to the Super Bowl this season?
