Unfortunately, I have far too much experience with your state having lived and worked there. A quick check of my IP addresses will prove that point. So, as a native Louisianian, I am intimately familiar with your state and the way that southerners are treated there is flat-out abysmal. Does this apply to everyone? Of course not, but in my opinion, it applies to the clear majority of your population. I actually had a Duck grad tell me today before the game, "can't wait to come to your 5th grade graduation". This is a guy I know as we both went to law school together. Teasing? Ribbing? Maybe, but it was odd and is reflective of the negative sentiment in your region of the South. And you know all of this to be true. OTOH, people in the South don't have much of an opinion of Oregon as they do not know much about it considering the distance. And when they do opine about your state, it is generally favorable in the sense of the "beauty" of the state. It disgusts me that southerners are generally welcome of you guys while y'all show outward hostility towards the south in your home region. I don't expect everyone here to understand this. I don't expect everyone here to take me at face value and trust the info, but I know what is what and you guys have problems when it comes to this kind of stuff. I saw it in Seattle as well with the Saints loss to the Seahawks in January. It was very ugly. All that said, most Oregon fans are taking this loss reasonably well. Few people, if any, are slamming LSU at this point. Y'all lost fair and square and most of you recognize that. That is good. I'm actually heading to Oregon on Monday and can post from there with the IP to prove it. Going back up there, I know now that I won't have to hear too much trash talk about how LSU sucks and how the South, in general, sucks. I'll get off of my soap box now.
A friend of mine and I went to the Saints playoff game in Seattle. We are both from New Orleans. The scene was so bad up there, they were making Raider fan look like an Angel. The hostility and the anger was off the charts. These people were making women and girls cry and cower with fear. When they couldn't find enough Saints fans willing to engage them in a fight, they turned on each other and ate their own. To be fair, Oregon fan is not in this league. They are better. As I said elsewhere, I see them as just irritating. I guess that is really not speaking badly about a group or some people when all you have to say is that they are irritating. BTW, most of these people truly look down on the South and think we are a bunch of dumbasses named Bobby Boucher or someething.
Must be duck season round these parts, cause here just like when im sitting in my duck blind, i don't see any ducks...

Poor basterds... Fans can't take any ribbing and then go down in flames to our sick defnese and special teams.
