Californians have been heavily migrating to Oregon since WWII. In response, Oregonians invented the phrase, "Don't Californicate Oregon". We've been saying that since before I was born, (I'm 57). We still like to say it, because it pisses them off. We Love Our Ducks.
But they don't care about you. You are totally hung up on something that literally no one down here cares about. And you guys are also very hostile towards the south. In fact, I think you are hostile against those from Washington as well. You are a very insular people. At least that is my experience, and you didn't do much to change that opinion. edit: and the last I looked, much of Washington Co. looks a lot like CA. Something about Intel and the 20,000 to 30,000 employees they have in your area. I want to see you kick them out.
First off, it's always unwise to generalize about people. Second, the word "literally" means, "In a literal or strict sense: Don't take my remarks literally. Usage ...". So, essentially what you said is, "not one person down here cares". Not one person?............You brought it up, you care. Oregonians, know about as much about the south, as southerners know about Oregon. Someone on this site asked me once, "So, Oregon isn't a part of Canada?". They were kidding, but I think you see my point? Pretty much sick of trying to change opinions. Oh, and Washington loves their Huskes UofO and UW, love to hate each other. Out of conference, we're brothers. They don't really like California either.
Duck I think you have been a cool poster, especially since youre on an opposing board. There are both good and bad people everywhere. Generalizations are bad always. Another poster on this board, red, has taught me this. When you generalize you are always wrong. People around the country see us like the retards on swamp people. We're not like that at all. We're not all like that just like all northwesterners aren't hippies and dopeheads. Don't let some people that rubbed you wrong make you think we're all that way. The people in the south are not all stupid backwood rednecks just as you all aren't all lumberjacks or liberal communist. We've had fun talking football. That's how it should be. As for me, I thank you for all the information you have given about your state and team. We have had a good time. Please don't let this turn into something pissy now that were close to the end. Win or lose I want to wish you a good season. One day I would love to go see your ducks play your house. I know I would enjoy that.
