A Great Team? You certainly aren't talking about your team. I know one person who is a UO alum. He just slammed the south and Southern education as I was talking to him, although he doesn't know the first thing about our region. This is typical for UO fan. Mouthy with absolutely nothing to back it up.
That's good to hear. Really. Of course, I am out here where the rubber meets the road. I have spent this entire summer between Orange County, Sacramento, SF, and Portland. The Oregon fans I have encountered have not been classy. I wouldn't say they have been classless, however. I like to use the word "irritating". Most of them do not know the first thing about our region of the country, yet love to slam it to make themselves feel better due to their gross inferiority complex they have when it comes to all things CA. It's a different world. Someone once described Oregon to me like this: it's like a hot trophy wife. Beautiful. Great to look at, but always sick and always a bitch. Can't do anything with it. I am sure that doesn't apply to everyone, but little in my personal experience would cause me to disagree with that view. Still, I hope for a good game and good sportsmanship. Oh, and I was at the Saints-Seahawks playoff game in January. That was an absolute disaster up there when it came to PNW fan. Classless is just the start of that.
I don't even think it is that. It's just weird. I do enjoy the USC-Oregon games, however. It's like watching heads explode. Meanwhile, no one in L.A. gives a crap. At least the Ore fans are passionate.
