I've been saying that Va Tech should be ranked number one if they go through unbeaten and win the ACC CG. The ACC is better than the SEC overall this year IMO.

Having said that, I think the dream matchup for any Bowl notcalled the Rose this season would be Notre Dame vs the number 3 team. UGA will not fill up near enough hotle rooms in Atlanta. Va TEch does travel well but I am not sure there fan base is very large nationally. Notre Dame brings more fans than most two schools combined and they have plenty of muulah to throw around.

Now, since the game is in Atlanta the Sugar Bowl committee may feel differently this one year and rather a battle between to unbeatens.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the Orange Bowl get the ACC champion if they aren't in the BCS title game? Much like the Sugar gets the SEC champion.

If true, VT vs any SEC team in the Sugar can't happen...

I have seen some projections that if VT and Texas win out, VT will be #2 in the BCS due to strength of schedule.

No -- you're not alone. Ever since they backed out on their visiting end of the home and home series (in '03 I think) I've really lost respect for them. Plus, I live in Virginia and have to hear about not only their beating us in '02, but over and over again by the local media and the legions of fans -- including some folks that I work with. Would love to see them get stomped, especially by LSU!!! :cuss:

I feel the same way. Plus they scheduled a game before us that violated the contract. What a sleazy school. I dont do this often but i will be pulling for a Miami team. It is really hard to say but i hate VT more.

At least this conference has some competition this year. If VT does go unbeaten they will have earned being in the top 3.

If they do happen to overtake Texas and Texas is unbeaten then i think the SEC will have some support for cratering the BCS and a better chance at some type of playoff.

The more teams this happens too moves us closer to the real NC happening.

My Plan is take the top 4 and from the bowl games 1-4 2-3 play add 1 game for the whole ball of wax.

I dont see how the Presidents of the University's can turn down a game that brings in that much in T.V. revenue. It will rival the Super Bowl and one extra game doesnt go into classes and disrupt school which has been a bogus point used.

It also effects the regular bowl system in no way. Other than the fact that one of these places may get an extra very important game every 4 years or have a bid system for the game.

It really remains to be seen.

Joe T. actually looked pretty good in the Spring Game and is a 4.0 student who was recruited by other decent programs.
Joe is also a very tough kid with much better speed than David Greene had.
Might even see the wishbone some.

Georgia doesn't exactly have a weak running game.
And Florida doesn't have much depth beyond their starters.

And the Georgia defense will be back at decent strength.

From my point of view, this is going to be a game where Georgia is going to out slug Florida.

    Georgia 23
    Florida 13

Vergenyer Tech should be prohibited from playing on TV until they get some less offensive uniforms. Those last nite were the worst ever. Who decided that a bad shade of maroon and a bad shade of orange look good together ? :dis:

You're wrong: ACC champ Va. Tech played in the Sugar as recently as last year.
