I like open carry myself. Concealed carry gives the carrier confidence but does nothing to deter an unknowing aggressor till its too late. Open carry throws the Dont Tread On Me flag up immediately. Maybe that's why so many off duty cops open carry.
Open carry also makes one an easy and first target to get shot, as well as striking fear in those around the individual since a lot of people tend to get nervous around others carrying weapons. I have always carried concealed, and no one ever knew I had a weapon, out of sight out of mind. Not to mention a lot of places will ask you either leave or go put your weapon in your car, which obviously does you no good if something were to happen.
Alive pussies though. Rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6. I agree. When I was only 18 I had a part-time job as a bouncer at a "Town Dance" throught the police dept. Had a uni and all that shyt. Kept my badge in my wallet. Once, pulling it out at a grocery chain a stranger volunteered to me that he was a cop and wouldn't recommend me flashing that thing like that. Reason being, if someone was looking to rob the place I'd be a primary target. Funny thing how people are comfortable with knowing someone could be carrying concealed but if you walk around with one strapped openly they get uncomfortable.
