While most likely nobody will ever compile any statistical evidence to support my viewpoint, I truly believe that a child brought up to seek self-gratification above all else is more damaged long-term than just about anything. After, what profit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his soul?

You are denying rights to those children if you allow homosexuals to obtain children to raise.

I am concerned that prior to this case there was no legal precedent. I am also upset with the lady who was ready to take on raising kids inside her homo union but wasn't ready to support them financially after a breakup.

Of course they do. Have you ever seen a "Heterosexual Day" at Disney World?

If you want to call not allowing them to marry discrimination, then I disagree. I do however support laws on the books that prohibit hiring and firing based on sexual preference.

    Agreed.

Interesting point. I don't know however, I know individuals who get married and have kids, not because they truly want to, but because they feel they have to. I don't see what the difference is between those individuals and people who seek self-gratification above all else.

Just different sides of the same ignorant "coin".

How does it propulgate itself when some people are born with Down's syndrome, or some other mutation that prevents the act of procreating?

Compassion? You mean like being accepting of other peoples lifestyles, regardless of how strange and unfamiliar they seem to you?

Sacrifice? What's that got to do with homosexuality? Homo's should get with people of the opposite sex, despite the fact that they are not attracted to them?

Self-gratification? How is that linked to sexuality? Further, how can you absolve all hetero's from instilling self-gratification in a child?

And how can you say that is worse than anything else? It's worse than engaging in gang violence, child abuse, or theft? You don't think that a prostitute loses, or has lost, their soul?

What rights are you denying them? Be specific, not dogmatic.

Have you ever heard of 'White History Month', or 'Sons day', or 'Daughters Day'?

    and your point is....

Please point out when I have advocated any cruel and unusual punishment against them. I simply do not want the state to a) sanction their lifestyle by sanctifying marriages or b) take childrens' right to two heterosexual parents away by allowing them to adopt, inseminate, or otherwise obtain children.

Hate the sin, not the sinner. Do not state-sanction their invalid lifestyle, but do not unduly discriminate against them.

I am advancing an apparent correlation between the advance of the promotion of self-satisfaction and the propagation of acceptance of homosexuality in society.

I am speaking to the general decline of society rather than to an individual.

I think they should remain in a heterosexual home, at least until they are old enough to read.

    Got it.

Not that it has a lot to do with anything I suppose, but all the gays and lesbians I know come from two parent (1 male, 1 female) households.
