clearly you are correct that the two unions are not equal in a biological sense. but thats not the issue. the issue (well actually the issue is that everyone who cares is an idiot) is that it isnt fair to grant people rights based on sexuality. rights like visitation and health insurance. you are wrong about this. clearly private insurance companies should be allowed to hate gays and tell them to go to hell, but the govenrment shouldnt. if i have a government pension and i marry cajun sensation, he should benefit just the same if i was married to a bitch.
