These are goals that he either did not reach or hasn't reached yet. It is not like lying about the existence of something that did not exist to lead a country to war. There is no case at all for lying. You might make a case for incompetence, but failing to meet lofty goals is more like an error of estimation. Regarding Gitmo, it is disingenuous of his critics to accuse him of lying. OBama changed his original plans by agreeing with Republicans that it was too soon to close Guantanamo. Whereupon the Republicans accuse him of lying. Typical.
Using baseless projections as a selling point of major legislation is more than an error of estimation. I would say that Obama, just like his predecessor, is both a liar and incompetent.
Yeah, I wonder what the deal is with this? I know a few people out in CA who are livid with the President for this reason. Wonder why he changed his stance on this?
