    I wasn't notified by email. I'm pretty sure that I wasn't selected.

Yeah. I had myself convinced that it was my time. I told my girl and my kids that I had a feeling that my number was gonna get pulled this year. I shouldn't do that to myself. lol

THIBODAUX, La Officer Sheila Guidry, who has worked with Thibodaux Police for a year but with the Terrebonne Sheriff's Office for 13 years, is used to alligator complaints.
Fishing one out of a pool, however, was a little difficult, she said.
Kevin and Theresa Davis said they were spooked to find the 4-foot alligator in their private pool in the 200 block of Davis Drive in Thibodaux on Sunday.
Theresa Davis said she screamed when she saw it. A live alligator had never made its way into their pool before.
“All I heard was this ‘swoosh,' and all I saw was the tail, which looked huge at the time,” she said.
Before they called the police, it tried to climb out, and Kevin Davis shooed it back in with a pole, Theresa Davis said.
“When they're small like that, they're pretty fast, especially in their own environment of water,” Guidry said.
At the time, the Davis' children and friends were watching the History Channel TV show “Swamp People,” which frequently features alligators, and raced over to the pool to watch the commotion, Theresa Davis said.
As Guidry, along with officers Lucas Bricknell, Richard Queen II and Leonard Firmin, tried to push it into a boat net with some poles, about five neighbors started to gather around, some taking photos, Guidry said.
“He was having a grand old time swimming,” she said.
After they pulled it out with a net, they taped its snout shut, put it in a police SUV and released it back into the bayou, as the department often handles alligator complaints, Guidry said.
“We're so glad they came and saved the day,” Theresa Davis said.
Guidry said it was the most fun complaint the police received all day.
“They said they were all trying to get here first because it broke up the monotony of their Sunday afternoon,” Davis said.

We can't bait hooks in MS. But the big advantage is that we can hunt gators at night. You can't just roll up on it and shoot it.....you have to have a harpoon, hook and line, bowfish rig, noose or something attached to it before you shoot him.

Of course I'll post pics, bruh.
