yes,i was there.Waited in line for 25 min to get on the escalator then they shut it down, went around to gate 20 and it was insane.I am only 35 and couldn't imagine being an elderly person in those conditions. The big hold-up was the ticket scanner people. They were very maticoulous and didn't give a rats azz about peoples well being. There was a table set up right at the gate where a lady was supposed to be checking purses that put an even harder squeeze on the crowd.I asked the lady if she could move it because people were getting squeezed too hard and even heard people crying in pain in the crowd. She said no she would not move it.Lsu should be ashamed the way they handled that, and for anyone that got injured in the maylay,I hope you get a big fat lawsuit on lsu to make sure it don't happen again.:angryfire

    I'm sure I'll hear about it next game...glad I'm not a ticket-taker.

I was there and also was turned away from the escalator just as we approached it. By the time we and the other miserable fans got to the ramp they had stopped checking tickets or anything else for that matter. I held my ticket in the air with one hand and had a cup of whisky in the other hand. Went all the way to my seat with my drink and finished it. This morning I was wishing they had taken it. Some VT fans who were squished up against us looked over at me with eyes of disbelief and said "Is it always like this?"

Best thing to do is to call the AD's office and let them hear about it. But you didn't hear that from me.

We did.We didn't let the woman check my wifes purse and flashed them our tickets and didn't let them scan them.If you pay for a ticket and when you get to the place where you have to enter, lsu should bend over backwards to make sure it's financial base is safe.I am just glad I didn't have my kids with me that game because the crowd didn't look that bad at first until it was too late and there was no turning back.

when LSU football fans start pushing through security and ticket takers to get to their seats they're no better than soccer fans and can expect the same results.

Were you there? If not you have no say-so in this matter. It was purley on the lsu staff what happened that night. There is an escilator, three flights of stairs, and a ramp to channel fans to their seats that they payed for,in the SAFEST manner possible.Nobody in the crowd did anything out of the ordinary,it was the funneling effect of the squeeze we were put through as you entered the scanning section that was the worst. Please don't ever compare us to soccer fans again, those people are ridicoulous.:angryfire
