I'm not talking about doing away with oil completely. I'm talking about cutting back on it enough to where we could (united states) supply ourselves, and not kill something like 570 million barrels a day. If we all had solar powered, or electric cars, of course we would still need oil. Hell there would still be people who were car enthusiasts who would want to keep their cars, but what you do is you spike the price of gas to something like 10 dollars a gallon, and leave commuting, and travel for electric and solar powered cars.

In one month last year a volcano in south america released more co2 in one month worth of erupting than mankind has released ever. This bullcrap global man made warming nonsence is the reason that the enviro nuts want to regulate through the EPA the use of fossil fuels in America. We have enough coal ,nat gas and oil to fuel our country if we go get it. If gas stays above four dollars the economy will fail again. The pelosi lovers will be blamed by the voters for the high prices and the progressives will be destroyed again at the ballot box. If we can again get a republican congress and a republican president to go with a conservative supreme court we can get our country drilling again and be self reliant energy wise. The four dollar a gallon and 9+ % unemployment may be the death nail of the progressive movement in America. At least I hope so.
