    It is Election Day and you are surprised by the low prices? There seems to be a magical dip every two years at about this time of year...

    Y'all make politicians believe they are important. Oil production is at an all time high and consumption is relatively low.

    Domestic production has increased and we are buying less oil from the Arabs

    no one really knows how to predict gas prices. it has more variables than global warming and just as many experts. high supply low consumption blah blah.

    dip in gas prices is due to four factors:

    1 - Normal price reduction after the summer driving season
    2 - Saudi Arabia lowered the price of their oil to be more competitive in the market
    3 - Massively increased domestic production
    4 - Recession in Europe
