http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2012/02/16/tcu-drug-bust-includes-4-football-players/ His program has its share of discipline problems.
The criticism that Miles left it up to the team is not an unjust criticism. Patterson wasn't that far out of line. But Miles is the coach here....it's his team and his decision. He's got a great record of handling problems properly and it's an internal matter. Miles treats all the players like they were his own son...so he can handle it however he wants to as far as I'm concerned.
Bring the pain boys!! Your coach just caused a major beat down upon you due to his diarrhea mouth!! TIGERBAIT
I get how people out of the know can spin this out of proportion, but how can anybody who actually follows the program believe this to be true? Les Miles put his stamp on it before the team ever voted. He made the decision, but he wasn't going to force it on his team. This is how EVERY suspension is handled. The team votes whether or not to take the offending party back, but do you really believe that Miles would let that make the decision for him?
A lot of people had the power to veto Hill being reinstated to practice and being allowed to play: LSU board of directors, LSU president, LSU dean of students, LSU AD, the head coach, the other coaches, prominent people in TAF. So just because Les gave the team an extra chance at a veto in addition to the rest doesn't mean LSU let the team decide, so Patterson is being a lying douchebag by saying that The deal with the TCU DE was "violation of team rules," they didn't hand him over to the courts for punishment. Also, TCU didn't hand him over to the media for punishment to his reputation, either. Last i heard, the TCU DE's wrongdoing was kept private (Nobody knew what he did but some TCU fans suspected 2nd failed drug test like when we suspended Ware, Simon, and TM7) Hill on the other hand was handed over to the courts, punished by the courts, including house arrest after 9 for the whole summer, like a 400 fine, battery charges on his criminal record, plus faces a civil tort suit for battery, etc etc. the TCU DE got none of that. On top of that, instead of his wrongdoing being kept private like with the TCU DE, Hill made national headlines and had to take a public beating. The TCU DE was spared all that So Patterson is being a douche by bitching about Hill, when Hill was punished much more severely than the TCU DE
Btw, even if Hill had never gotten in any trouble in his life, i still think Blue would start the season as our starter like he did last year. He was more dominant than Hill last year (although they played different teams), and Blue has seniority
This is what I tend to believe. The shitheads in the media and everywhere else are spinning this as though we NEED Hill back to have a shot at winning. Maybe next year, but not this year. How surprised they will be...
