I’m going to go with operative word ‘tonight.’ It’s tough taking the field with much authority when seven days earlier you were clearly made to realize you ain’t got dick to compete with at championship level. My guess is this year after the 29-0 fisting it was a hard sell for the coaches to get this team back at all. Road game, up in the sticks vs a team that looks like total crap? I’ll take the W and go home satisfied . But I hear you. If we keep playcalling with thumbs up our ass Jimbo gonna eventually own us like the Dwarf.
You can have the greatest OC in the world, but he has to have the talent to execute his game plan. We definitely don't have it in the OL and our WRs are inconsistent at best. Our running game is below par, but how much of that is a result of our shitty OL play?
Adjust. Arkansas is not world beaters. Play calling was extremely conservative. That ain’t “we comin.” That’s “we hidin.”
A sound head among collective heads of knuckle. You also might mention to them our QB had a grand total of 27 days to work with our OC, learn the plays and adjust to our players before starting as our QB on Sept 2. Amazing we are 8-2.
Would that be not being able to develop talent? Maybe not adjusting scheme to fit talent rather than the other way around? I get this argument against the stronger teams on the schedule, but Arkansas?
