Speaking of time, I thought it interesting when Samwell told the Maester's that Bran had spent years beyond the wall. Time flies between scenes / seasons. There is a Relativity thing going on.
In this one episode Tyrion and Davos go to KL and back to Dragonstone, Jon and company make it all the way to the Wall from Dragonstone, Bronn and Jaime make it about a mile away from where they were last episode without needing air and Jorah has made it from the Citadel to Dragonstone in the time it took for Dany to destroy the Lannister army and make it back to Dragonstone. Time travel.
Littlefinger's days are numbered. He may not make past episode 6 and damn sure won't make it past episode 7. At this point his character lends nothing to fire and ice and will serve no purpose in the war against the others so, im sorry Baelish, but your time is up. The only question is which Stark lady will do the honors, Sansa or Arya?
I hope they both do it, in a nod to Sansa comment. I can't recall it verbatim, but it's basically how a lone wolf dies but the pack survives. As for Jon, would it kill him to send a raven to Winterfell every now and then to fill everyone in on what's going on? He knows the northern lords are already pissed that he left to begin with, so I'm sure they'd like to know what he's doing. As for how they're going about strategizing to defeat the Army of the Dead, if they breach the Wall, why wouldn't they lure them to the Vale and the Bloody Gates? Wasn't it Tyrion who said a million men could march on it and be repelled? Just set up shop there and have archers shooting dragon glass arrows and the 3 dragons burning them by the 1000s. Easy peasy Japanesey. Not sure why they glossed over the Gillie's find in the scrolls about Rhaegar getting an annulment from his wife and marrying Lyanna. That's huge because even though Sam doesn't know Jon's lineage, the entire war for Robert's Rebellion was based on the belief that Rhaegar kidnapped and raped her, but the scrolls prove they were in love and got married. Although there would be no show, just think of everything that's happened up to now because that information was not known. Finally, I think with Cersei being delicate condition kinda throws a wrench into the theory that Jaime kills her, to fulfill Maggie the Frog's prophecy. I just don't think he'll kill her while she's pregnant. Unless it happens after the baby is born or he finds out it's not his.
Agree with you on everything. Cersei will not give birth to this baby. I think she will wake up in bed in a pool of blood and lose the child.
So, next season, 6 episodes and it's over? Fucking George, disappointing, screwed his readers over, I don't think he's gonna finish the seven, or is it eight, book series. Great tv, but after it's played out on HBO,.. I doubt I'll care about the books anymore.
I'll definitely finish them if they come out and I'm still alive. Too many changes were made in the show for me not to.
I'm 6,000 pages into the books that he's not gonna finish,.. mumble, mumble. Odd HBO isn't going to stretch it into an additional season,.. they must be making a fortune off of it.
Actors and price. The longer this goes the more the actors will want. What I would like to see is them finish out season 8 and then make a 3 hour epic movie to finish it all off. That would be awesome.
