1. Thanks for all the suggestions - Sounds like the best move is to take in NO as much as we can Thursday night, recover Friday in time to drive to BR Friday afternoon and then get enough rest that we can take it all in starting early Saturday. One last question - Is getting a cab impossible on game day? Our hotel (I think its a Super 8)is about 3 miles from the stadium.

2. Take a wrong turn or go too far down Bourbon...

But people get shot on Bourbon too.

3. That is a good question. I tell you what, ask at your hotel and then the other thing you can do is call Capitol Cabs. I think that is the name. I'll double check for you.

4. Great! Since you guys are being so helpful, I will shoot a final question - If we want to get the best tailgating experience, where should we head?
5. Keep the questions coming JJCali. I"m going to my first game later this year, so i'm taking notes.....

6. don't miss Walk Ons on the Southside of the stadium - google it to get the details

the walk over will be fun and the walk back - it is a newer joint but very nice

you will see the sea of tail gates and just have fun and enjoy

7. EBR bus system set to give LSU fans a lift | News | The Advocate — Baton Rouge, LA
This is the bus that roams around. Seems like there is another one but I'll have to look.

Everybody here has favorite spots and a lot of these guys will invite you to their set ups but me: I like to start at the Greek theatre and then roam across the Parade Ground after that I circle through the sublime quadrangles and archways that make up the LSU Campus, stroll through the RV Lot on the South End and then make my way back to the Indian Mounds so I can see the drummers play the tatoo and then follow the band down the "hill" to the stadium.
Anybody else wanna help these folks out?
