Game Day !!! Beat BullDogs Thread - Man UP

All the talk about Moo U coming off an emotional loss and this potent running attack, this is the same song and dance. They came off an emotional loss to Auburn last year 17-14 when Relf threw an interception on the final drive to set up a FG. That was a nationally televised game as well. And yes, let’s talk about this running attack vs. Chavis and the LSU defense.

Perkins - 10 car, 24 yards

None of those really jump off the page at you! They rushed for 152 as a team last year, I expect about the same, but bottom line, we forced them to throw, and then forced 5 interceptions.

A lot of the same tonight! Expect, this year, LSU doesn’t settle for FG's, we punch it in with our much improved rushing attack.

People can say all they want about our defense carrying this team, yes they do, but it’s not like last year. When Oregon fumbled two drives in a row, we didn’t get stuffed for FG's. We drove in the end zone and milked the clock. Had Oregon held us to two FG's, you are talking a 22-13 ball game end of 3rd quarter "If LSU made the FG's"

The 2007 passing game was much better than this years. This defense may be better than the 07 d was but this offense isn't as balanced.
What the game changer was in 07 are the take aways. Like was already said, we were plus 20 in 07. I think we can do that again this year.
Flynn was able to throw the ball when needed. Think about some of the great throws he made. The au game comes to mind. The 07 team had the balance of Flynn throwing the ball well enough and Hester running with the heart or a tiger. Remember the five fourth down conversions? How many times did Hester drag players with him across the goal line.
This offense has a lot to prove to be what the 07 offense was. I do feel we have a much better chance of seeing some kind of a decent passing game with lee over what we would have seen with jj. There is much less confusion. Flynn was a true leader. Lee has not failed to lead yet but hasn't come up with that game changing play that seperates himself as the true captian of the ship. I hope lee can match what Flynn did in 07 passing wise.

I'm still stickin wth the guy at pickem' .... I don't know what our score will be, But I don't see MooU scoring a TD. Maybe a few FGs.

 

If lee can throw for 200 yards a game like Flynn did in 07 then we will be back in new Orleans for the bcs cg.

 

I am still nervous since they had such high expectations this year. If they lose, season over and really no progress this year. So they will give us their best game. BUT these stats make me feel much better. I had built Relf into a Cam clone but forgot how he performed last year.

Nervous about this one. I think we do prevail, however.

I have to miss the first half because I teach on Thursday nights. I'll be thinking about the game the entire time. I think I'll let my class out early!
