This past hunting season I would frequently find the date on one of my game cameras reset. The default date was in August 2016 and I would always find the date to be sometime in August. I would always return the date setting to October, November, December.. or whenever I found the problem. My first thought was someone was tampering with it but,without proof, I just accepted that the camera was faulty. I contacted the manufacturer and was told the camera should not behave in this manner. In early November I caught a pic of a fellow club member standing in front of the camera. When asked he explained he was just "out looking" despite being fully aware he shouldn't have been in another area of the lease. I had my suspicions but still, no proof. Fast forward to July 2017, I'm moving through about 2,000 images & videos left over from the 2016-2017 deer season and tripped over the below video. Apparently the person tampering with the camera was looking at my pics, then deleting the pics/vids of himself. Occasionally he deleted everything because sometimes I found no pics or very few. He obviously missed this video, and I think he missed the pic of himself from November. I still don't have concrete proof that the video is the same guy in the pic because the 2 people who know this guy have never seen him wear this light colored jacket. Looking at the right hand in the video though, I think there's scars and a possible past fracture in the palm below the right pinky finger that are good enough for positive ID. Look at the hand in the video and the hand in the pic. Is it the same guy?
You'll just have to be sneaky about it. Hide in the woods somewhere when you think he might be coming and when you catch him in the act pop a cap in his knee.
Thought abt that, but I'm sure the infrared light would be noticeable. Can't say this hasn't been considered.
