Well Said! I know we would agree on something. I haven't been a big fan of brady, but I must give credit where credit is due.
So, I disagree, and you can't really say anything about the negative points I bring up, so I must go? He's got all sorts of negatives that NO ONE answers...and it's on me to just shut up and sweep it under the rug? I'm irrational...LOL! If you know ANYTHING about my time on this site...You know that I'm not going ANYWHERE...So, as long as I don't violate the User Agreement (and the comments were meant to give you an example of what kind of remarks I'd have to make to be on the same level as others here like BB in their responses to those who dislike Brady), I'm here as long as I wish...Much to your chagrin. If you don't like the points I bring up, then perhaps you need to just admit they are valid, and that you cannot say anything about them. The man has cost LSU recruits, he's cost us money, he's blamed players, he's recruited bad apples, and he's consistently underachieved and done just enough to scratch by year-after-year... He's made the most egregious off the court mistakes imaginable, and I truly don't care if you can't or refuse to believe it...I've seen it, I've watched it, and it's pure idiocy to want this man to remain. I'm sorry you disagree with my assessment, but sometimes you need to understand that I have just as much right to bring the subject up just as much as I damn well please as you have to not click on links or read my posts. If I were worried about the opinion-or some would call it a cross I choose to bear-and what kind of favor I'd either curry or fall out of with it, I wouldn't come to the site. I'd just sit on the sidelines here, contribute my $, and be a silent lurker...But, that's never been my style, again, much to your chagrin. I'm sorry that because you cannot change my mind, nor shut me up, nor make me go away, you feel the need to cast aspersions, make assumptions, denigrate my intelligence, etc., for what reason I don't know why, as until I'm provoked, I hardly EVER start something off like that (martin, aside, but marty-baby knows why I start in on him early, and he "prays" I don't touch onthe subject on the Den right now)...I merely return fire. I'm not going anywhere, and neither are the problems with Brady, and no win streak is going to change my mind. That doesn't take away from what the players have accomplished on the court, but that is not an excuse for 8 years of bull**** on and off the court. Fair enough?
casual observation: the above post is best read and most enjoyable with a cold samual adams and done so if you read the first and last line. think of it as cliff notes. it's the same old song. Great Post TE LOL
what i dont understand is why you dont get that i never take the bait when you bait me on non-LSU topics in the lsu forum. even after your bait attempts are deleted. that is weird the way you dont understand that. i like to talk about basketball on this forum. well, generally fans will be excited by success, and not continue to whine, so that is a little counter to the way fans generally work. i guess it is perfectly rational if you just really enjoy being negative over being positive. but that stance confuses ordinary fans like us. we want success for our coach, and support him. this is what we figured, it is something personal. we do not have your perspective because we dont have these personal problems you have with the guy. we cant imagine why anyone would have a problem with you, and if brady did hurt your feelings, i suspect it was unwarranted.
I tell you what, I'll move on and we will agree to disagree. Your stance on Brady is duly noted. I just want you to know that in reality (you should check it out some time) John Brady is not departing LSU unless the team loses. I say again, John Brady is not departing LSU unless the team loses. With that being said, it is simply impossible for you to want the team to win and the coach to go at the same time. Therefore, you can't truly want the team to win. What is more important at this moment? There is one sure way to see Brady walk off into the sunset and that is for this program to nosedive next season. We lose - Brady's a goner. We win - Brady will get an extension. What is your choice? Be a man, tell us... LSU + Winning = Sit Tight Brady LSU + Losing = Bye-Bye Brady LSU + (?) = TigerEducated Don't give us 1,000 words. Answer the question.
dude, I told you you were looking at the wrong people. Nobody in my family is bald, and we're all "large" people.
OK, TE... we know your position. Now what's your solution to the problems you see? Fire Brady, obviously, right? Who do you suggest we bring in to replace him? No, wait...I think the better question here might be this: Who's going to WANT to come to LSU to replace him, after we've fired the man coming off of a 20-win season and NCAA bid? Do you really think that any coach better than John Brady (and yes, I freely admit that there are better coaches out there) is going to leave wherever he is now and walk into a situation like that? If you do, then you're delusional.
I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but don't complaints usually come when performance is less than expected? My experience in the workforce is that we're given a standard of expectations and are then evaluated based on those expectations. Based on that assumption, then Brady has done his job. If Brady had been fired last year and a new coach started the season 6-5, finished the season Co-champion of the Western Division of the SEC, won 20 games, took the defending SEC champion to overtime in the SEC tournament, and got awarded an at-large bid to the NCAA's for being one of the 34 best at-large teams in the country then ON ANY LEVEL YOU WOULD HAVE TO AGREE THAT THE COACH HAD A SUCCESSFUL YEAR and a petition would have been started on this site to re-name the PMAC after him. Given the level of problems this team had earlier in the year when it seemed that dissention would tear it apart until now is AMAZING! Whether you like him or not, John Brady will be back for no other reason than the teams performance THIS YEAR, not 2,3,5,7 or 8 years ago. And you know what? THAT IS FAIR. Each of us wants the Tigers to be championship contenders and THIS YEAR THEY ARE!! What else do you want?... Give it a rest, give Brady a break, and let's give him the support WE would want if we were in his position. IMO to say we support the team but we can't support the coach is like politicians saying they support the troops but publically blast their leaders for all that is going in the Middle East. :geauxtige
