  9. A few days ago I was having a conversation about the success rates on stealing bases in softball. Out of curiosity I compared it to collegiate baseball. While that has nothing to do with this conversation, it did reveal a number you might find interesting.

    Out of the top ten in my research, there were 394 stolen bases in collegiate baseball this season.
    Using the same criteria, there were 439 in softball.

    There is no difference between the two in terms of numbers. There's a difference in the two sports (which is still lost on a lot here.)
