And some people just can't get over the fact that Bush won and there is nothing they can do about it but bitch, moan, whine, complain, etc. on an internet message board. You could sit here and make a million posts about what you think is wrong with the President, but it would be a complete waste of your time. If you've got nothing better to do, read a book or something.
So then explain to me how it would not be a waste of your time to make a million posts about how great you think he is, or bitching about the liberals, or even about the people who don't like Bush. How is it more of a waste of time for people to express negative opinions of Bush, or U.S. policies and actions that they disagree with? Is it NOT an equal 'waste of time' to post about anything at all, then? Let me explain something to you. There is nothing that gets posted on message boards that is more or less of a 'waste of time' than anything else. That is a fact. So it's completely ignorant to suggest that anti-Bush rhetoric is any less important/influential/significant than pro-Bush rhetoric, or if you think the baseball coach should be fired, or how much you don't like USC, or any other topic that may arise. If you honeslty feel that it's a 'waste of time' for me to post the things that I do, then you must also acknowledge what a waste of time it is for you to post anything at all. Otherwise your assertion is a typical B.S. double-standard. You are wasting your time by reading this and responding to me. If you've got nothing better to do, go re-take high school civics, or even elementary school social studies, where you will learn that everyone in this country has an equal right to express their opinions.
   I think I hit a nerve guys. First of all, my post wasn't directed at you, so quit crying like it was. Secondly, I understand everyone has an equal right to express their opinion - I kinda have to, since I am defending that right. But obviously, you haven't been around long enough to see that all Rex has done here is post the same thing over and over about how Bush sucks, this is the wrong war, etc. etc. Moving on, it would be a waste of my time to make a million posts about how great Bush is because 1) the majority of people here don't need convincing and 2) I know I'm not going to change anybody's mind who thinks otherwise. Do I think posting about how much I hate USC sucks is stupid? Yes, but that dead horse has been beaten long enough. I know this is a public forum and people can post what they want. That doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on it. My main point was that coming onto a message board where a majority of the posters are pro-Bush and continuously posting negative, anti-Bush messages is a waste of time, in my opinion, because you're (and that's a general term, just so you don't get upset and offended) not going to change anybody's mind. Hey, its great to debate and I enjoy reading and participating in a lot of the posts here. But it gets old when you see the same trash over and over again get posted by the same person. Thanks for your explanation about the intricacies of an internet message board. I appreciate your concern for my well-being. Have a nice day! P.S. I'm glad you think it is a waste of time for me to post anything at all. I'll keep that in mind the next time the military comes up in a topic here. I wouldn't want to upset you. :thumb:
Oh, and by the way, Contained Chaos, thanks for the negative rep point - I'm so sorry for wasting your time. I kept getting positive green dots for awhile, I guess it was high time for a nasty red one. Grow up.
Almost 1700 American soldiers dead in Iraq and you're bitching about being reminded that Bush sent them there dishonestly? Contained Chaos was exactly correct: you don't make much sense. If you don't like political talk then maybe it's YOU who are wasting your time on a political talk message board. Your assertion that discussing this war and this presidency is a waste of time is incorrect, anyway. The number of people who say that Bush started this war on lies has been steadily rising... now over 50% according to Gallup, and less than 40% feel this war was worth fighting. There are consequences to political actions. Sorry, but you can't just try to sweep them under the rug. By the way... how often did you tell people to stop criticizing Bill Clinton?
I cancelled out his negative. You get a lot more from an old hand like me. Contained Chaos: Not that your whiney, anti-Bush liberal a$$ has any credibility around here, but speaking up in support of that douchebag, Rex, drops you even more notches on the "What an Idiot" scale.

SabanFan: Your persistent namecalling betrays a lack of valid argument. How old are you? 12? Are you happy with your "reputation points"? How sweet it is for you that you can get like-minded persons to pat you on the back, huh? My first grade teacher used to give me stars. I stopped being impressed with such cheap theatrics in the second grade.
I never said to quit discussing it. I actually said I enjoy reading and participating in such discussions. But you come on here and post the same thing OVER AND OVER again. Maybe I will stop reading it, as others seem to have done - obviously you wouldn't keep posting the same crap if people weren't ignoring it. Almost 1700 American servicemembers dead in Iraq. Servicemembers who VOLUNTEERED to serve, knowing full well that they may not make it home alive. Servicemembers who have fought nobly, honorably, and courageously in defense of a right that should be afforded to every person on this planet. Why don't you go ahead and tell their families that their sons and daughters died for nothing. You'd be horribly wrong.
