Hahaha, nice disclaimer, SDMan. Come on, you have to know that's part of the deal with me by now! Hehe. Anyway I give you props for having the balls to be the first person to address that question, even though I don't agree with some of your reasoning.

Sure, our intelligence has let us down before. But to be as inaccurate as they're suggesting, they would have had to have dreamed up about a thousand things that were never even there in the first place. That's a lot bigger of a screw-up than a case of mistaken building identity in an urban area. Further, superior officials should have the capability to determine such gross inaccuracies. If not, they are simply unfit for their position. It's just like if my boss/project manager can't point out errors of that magnitude on a study or a set of plans before we submit them, he is unfit for his position. Obviously, W did not see this as the case, as no top official was reprimanded or even held accountable for this debacle. He should have been more enraged than anyone.

The building was just an example that we happen to know about, I'm sure there are screw ups and bad intel that we don't know about out there.
Maybe they should be capable of gross inaccuracies, I don't know.

I do know that you can't compare your job or your company that is very accessible to the way the government functions much less talking about
a country like Iraq that wasn't very accessible to our government.
I strongly support the private sector over government running things anyday
    when I can.

What I do know is that everyone on the left who attacks this president and
his decision to go to war seems to politely give the UN a free pass no matter how corrupt they are or how anti-American they are.
It doesn't fit their agenda to attack the UN? :dis:

One last time, Our intel could've been bad if it is, like I said above I'm somewhat skeptical until years down the road about that.
One reason our intel hasn't been as good is the fact that we haven't had spies or manpower in areas across the world, we've relied on technology
too much and that can be deceiving can't it?
