I'm looking for Harry Coleman and Beckwith to see the field, especially as special team stalwarts. RJF and Jones both have a good chance to see time as well, it will come down to if Miles wants to burn a year or let them play after the third game.
Of course Perrilloux isn't going to redshirt. And of course he's going to show off a bit. The NFL is screaming for a coonass name other than Delhomme.
He can play in a few early games and not lose his shirt, if they decide to sit him. I don't think he'll get rs'd though, if JR left for NFL, we'd have 1 QB with less than 30 snaps of experience. It's best to get RP and MF some playing time this year just in case we have to use them next year (or even later this year god forbid).
philter brings up an excellent point of injuries... I hope it doesnt happen, but you cant be too prepared... RP burns his redshirt. bank on it. this kid is going to impress the HELL out of les miles. can you imagine LSU running the option? :::sigh::: good times good times indeed.
lets hope russel just takes it and runs with it and there's no reason to see a second or third qb... I know everyone's excited about RP but do I ever wish we had got a ready-to-play line backer or corner instead of a great player at an already stable position :-\
Dandy Don mentioned that he thought Trindon Holliday would see action on punt returns this year. I thought Trindon was going to grey shirt or something? Also, Skyker isn't the only punt returner we have & I just don't see Miles burning Trindon's redshirt just to return kicks against N Texas & App St.
I've heard alot of good about Korte, but is he really that good to step up and get enough playing time this year with our stable of running backs to warrant not red shirting?
Miles has said openly at his speaking engagements that he will not redshirt Perrilloux because he wants to have 3 QBs on scholarship ready to play. Our only other one is a walk-on. With that in mind, I'd be shocked if Ryan didn't get some playing time this season. Whether he can come in & light it up as a true freshman isn't known yet, but getting him some valuable experience could go a long way.
Attendee at the camp today said he talked to the coaches and that Trindon Hollliday will definately redshirt. Says there were no ships left for him..also PJ Zimmerman is on ship.
