I will try again. Deaths from Covid-19 are more prevalent when those at risk are infected. At risk is a combination of both age and comorbidities (simultaneous presence of two or more chronic diseases or conditions in a patient). Less at risk for death are those younger than 60 and without comorbidities. The preponderance of new cases are in adults younger than 50. And yes, several thousand new cases a day is out of control. But, when the new cases are not in the groups at risk, the death rate will not increase. What is happening in the states I mentioned and many other states is that those at risk (old/comorbidities) are staying home or practicing social distancing, washing hands, wearing masks, and the younger people (who like all of us felt invincible in our young adulthood) are acting selfish, reckless or just plain stupid. So, it is entirely possible, actually it is 100% possible that the spread of Covid-19 is increasing and in many cases is out of control, without an increase in death rate. In face, large increases in younger people infected will drive the death rate down.
Because the shit isn't that deadly and never was and there only way to get passed it and that is through herd immunity.
That is exactly what is happening in Brazos county. The cases are increasing and they are from the 20-30 yr olds. However, they are spreading it to they parents and we have had some 50-60 year olds die in the past couple of weeks. We had gone a month with no deaths. On June 1 we had about 500 cases in the county. We have 1321 as of today and 52.1% of those were in the 20s and 30s.
