i would say we have as good of a chance as anyone else...guess that is what you want.

plus we have uga coming in with their hype and we will smoke them and then we will have all the hype we need.

only game that really worries me is florida.

I feel good about our team this year. But I still think we may be underestimating our schedule, particularly on the road.

We have yet to get to the SECCG in even no. years. There's a reason for that.

If not for a freakish 7-0 SEC start for Arkansas in 06' LSU goes to the SECCG. I think CLM can get it done in even years.

You forgot that beat down UF received from Nebraska in the Fiesta Bowl?

I got in a discussion last year with Potted Plant about how I thought that both USCe and Mitchell were over-hyped. Seeing them ranked as high as they were (what did they make it to, 6th) all the time knowing they were going to take a nose dive was entertaining.

Now, we are a year later and I still see people worried about USCe? Again, I just don't see it. Once again, they have a huge QB situation they'll have to overcome. While you can't take a lot out of a spring game (especially considering USCe runs through the second half like it was a playground ball game...as in, not a lot of serious play) Smelley and Beecher combined for 8 INT's in a few quarters of play. Hearing Corso pick them for the East title was laughable. At best, I see them as a 7-8 win team with 4 of those coming from OOC teams and then beating Vandy and UK and then pulling an upset of one of the West teams...not LSU, mind you.

As much as I like the sunshine pump from this article, that aspect of it makes it a little hard to swallow. I agree with you having to play the upper crust of the SEC on the road is never a "dream schedule" by any teams of the SEC. Although I do agree that we have a very good shot at repeating.

Florida will be our toughest road game (as I look into my crystal ball) today. Everything may change once the season starts.....

Does anyone else think that AU is on a downswing????

If you ask any bama fans. Getting us at home (where there always seem to be some questionable calls) is a big advantage.
