I've seen your schedule. Very familiar with it. 5 big games. One, on the road. But, I'll leave this one alone until a couple of weeks before we meet in T-town.
Odd, I'm couting thirteen big games. Come on Terry, you of all people know that every game is a big game. We only get so many!
i am officially at the point where i am uncomfortable with the lofty preseason rankings. all these preseason #2 rankings and such. the only way this works out well, is if we get to the NC game. for joe Q. tigerfan anything less will be a disappointment. and that's a bad thing. getting to the game in N.O. takes a little luck as well. questions on the O-line, special teams, and a new starting qb (who can't afford to get hurt btw) won't always be equalized by a favorable home schedule. i hope fans realize the goal is to win every game in hopes of winning a nc. if that can't be done, the goal is atlanta in early dec. and taking the conference. if we've learned anything from last year it's that you need to get the breaks to go your way (vs auburn) and you can't have one bad game ( vs florida). winning the SEC is tough enough. i hope fans stay grounded this year. i also hope for world peace and a mansion filled with cash.
Valid concerns to be sure, but I think most of us realize the amount of unknowns associated with a regular year, much less a transition year as we are currently going through. You would also think the media would be aware of these things too. I mean, it's not a secret, right? The bottom line is although it raises the level of expectations, it also raises the likelihood that we reach the NCG, because we have less teams to climb over. We don't have to depend upon the misfortunes of others, we just have to take care of business. It's an enviable position to be in, and we should get used to having a target on our back, because the rest of the SEC looks at us as deadly every year. It's about time the rest of the nation discovered us. http://preseason.stassen.com/consensus/2007.html
No expectations to make it to that NC game? Come on now...don't tell me you are lowering your expectations this season, are ya?!? "Every game a big game." YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!!! Hell, I'm ordering GamePlan just to see you guys face Tulane and La Tech! Weighing this against your comment about fitting in the extra team for the BCS contradicts that post Grad. By now, you certainly understand the NCAA and their socialist viewpoints about spreading the $ around. Certainly. WOAH!!! Hold on their Cheif. You guys have all been telling us he wasn't going to stay 8 years!! :hihi: A sudden change of heart? Or perhaps you are beginning to admit he's in a great job and a great school? :thumb:
You are killing me!!! I just choked on my damn diet coke and sent it down the wrong pipe!!! I owe you one! I doubt you will get that said outlud here very often!!!
Safety wont be a big drop off. Craig Steltz will be the SS and he led the team in ints last year. I have heard nothing but good about Curtis Taylor. I have heard he is just as big and fast as Laron and better in coverage.
