oh, holy ****. the threads i miss being on the road all day. so back in the fall, i was getting my nails done. and i hadnt not noticed them when i came in but while getting my mani, looked over and saw a woman getting a pedicure finished up and her son who appeared to be 11-12 years old in the chair next to the one she was in. im thinking, "poor kid, out of school for a day (was some holiday, i dont remember which one) and getting drug along while mom gets a pedi.... holy shyt, what's that? spacers between the kids toes? oh my god this kid has gotten a pedicure. complete with toe nail polish!" my mouth fell open and i know i had no shame, that i just stared! i could not believe it! now i see grown men getting pedicure's all the time. and not metro-sexuals, but rugged guys. it often seems to be something they are doing just the basics of to keep their feet nice for the wife or gf, so they'll get laid. but no polish! this kid was too young to be doin it for a hot chick! not to mention the polish. did i mention this boy had toe nail polish? i just cant believe a mother would do that sort of thing if i hadnt seen it with my own eyes. if the kid is a flamer, for the love of god, dont enable things that are gonna get the snot beat out of him! i have seen this three times since then. same fat prissy mother with the same kid in tow. each time it floors me. i have even seen this kid pick out his own damn polish! seriously, how does this kid not get beat up?
I get a pedicure about 4 times a year, I wear sandals almost every day even in the winter so the back of my heals are 99% dead skin. Anyway, the last time I went was on the way to watch a game with some friends. I almost got my toes painted purple and gold as a joke. So maybe that is what the little kid was doing? Or maybe he was just getting a clear polish.
no, first time i saw it it was a bright red. when i saw him picking out his own, it was a color, not clear. and i have seen him in there 4 times now with his mom. i asked the manicurist who does my nails if this kid is a regular. she said, yes, he comes in all the time with his mom for pedicures. with polish. the pedicures are one thing. i have no problem with grown men getting pedicures. hell, i encourage it. makes the feet much cleaner. and sexier. but polish? on a guy? that's just gay. and on a kid, that's warped. oh, and the purple and gold... that is my standard polish. alternated colors on the toes of purple and gold. but damnit, i forgot to bring mine (i prefer using my own) so when casey and i go get pedi's today, i am gonna have to hope they have a p and g i like!

How? We are talking about a kid painting his toenails. Not a kid being sent to a place where he has a chance of being sexually molested by an adult man wearing a dress.
