i didnt think terry was all that bad either. i liked that point he made about how when you are a reciever and jamarcus is the qb, you never have to cut off your route and hold up. you just keep running, because you can go downfield as far as you want, you arent gonna outrun JR's range.

after baseball and now doing college football sideline reporting, i think i have had my fill of jeanie "weirdface" zelasko.

    Pass interference on the defense.

It seemed that the broadcast started with more coverage of Notre Dame, but for the most part was more stomachable than the typical broadcast where idiots are calling the game.

LSU can play with anyone though we have our flaws. Notre Dame looked like a small fry team and has a long way to go. I'm not sure why Brady Quinn got so much fanfare last night - he looked fairly average. He may be a dedicated student of the game but it didn't help against LSU. I thought it was funny how they avoided mentioning Ohio St's qb in reference to the draft.

I thought the coverage was pretty good, especially considering we were playing Notre Dame. The guys in the booth couldn't say enough good things about JR. Especially Terry. The only thing that got me was when Tim Brown said it looked like Notre Dame dominated the first half. But I didn't get too upset because everyone else in the booth treated that statement with a fair amount of disbelief and called him out on his bias.

And that pass did have too much air under it. Had the receiver not had to slow down it would have been a TD pass, but no big deal as we scored on the next play.

I didn't think the broadcast team was that bad. Like other posters I was surprised at how much I liked Terry. He definitely added intelligent points IMO.

However, the constant history lessons about ND were tiresome. I especially disliked the photos of past ND greats with Maxwell Award winning BQ mixed in.

And I thought the HD sound quality was poor compared to other HD broadcasts.

My Coors fogged brain cannot remember the exact play but there was a ruling from the box that overturned a catch that was clearly not "indisputable evidence. The ball never touched the ground and there was no replay angle that even remotely showed that it did.

the interception by LSU at the 1 yard line.....the overrule pissed me off. They just don't get what the word "indisputable" means.

The only bad part of the coverage was that WWL and the TV were not in sync. I would hear the play on the radio before I saw it on the big screen.

The biggest one was the ND receiver pulling our DB down and we got the interference call. :dis:

Terry Bradshaw knows football, especially offense, and he was making interesting professional points about defensive coverages and holes in the defense. The average talking head just states the obvious as cleverly as possible.
