I'm not saying they should have kept Ivory/Sproles/Thomas, I'm saying they did far better finding a good running back in free agency than they did drafting one.

You don't take tailbacks in the 1st round unless it's Adrian Peterson.

I'm saying they should have kept Ivory\Sproles\Thomas! Would get the same production for one 1\5 the price of Ingram Spiller. Could have used that money on quality OL or DB.

We actually wasted more money on Byrd and Browner. For the entire time I've watched the Saints, the best we could ever muster in the secondary was 1 serviceable CB or S and the rest were very sub-par. Except 2009-2011, 2013. Even the, outside of Sharper, no pro bowl level production either.

    This from Dandydon......

"Now that all the dust has settled, Leonard Fournette is the undisputed leader in rushing yards per contest with an average of 162.8 per contest, making him the first player in LSU history to lead the nation in rushing. In addition to leading the nation in rushing per game, Fournette ranked No.3 in the nation in three other categories – net rushing yards (1,953), all-purpose yards (183.83), and points per game (11.5) and he finished No. 4 nationally in rushing TDs with 22. He also set the LSU record for 200-yard games in a season with four and tied the school mark for games with at least 100 rushing yards at 10. Fournette goes into his junior season with the Tigers in 2016 with 2,987 rushing yards, which ranks No. 4 on the all-time LSU list. Kevin Faulk holds the LSU career rushing record with 4,557 yards, followed by Dalton Hilliard (4,050), and Charles Alexander (4,035)."

.....And no invite to NY for consideration. Kind of burns a little.

Someone tweeted yesterday he was the first SEC back to win the rushing title since 1949.

Although the "H" trophy is coveted by many it is nothing more than a popularity contest. There are a great number of players who work their butt off for their teams success and never get consideration. If it was truly a MVP type of award you would see other position players getting consideration. Ask Henry how many votes he would have received if he wasn't behind an NFL offensive line.

I'd be tempted to decline an invitation next year.

I would charge the Downtown Athletic Club an appearance fee.
