Former LSU football players arrested (Tyrann Mathieu, Jefferson, Hatcher, Bryant)

No, I agree. Victimless crime. Marijuana should be legalized and taxed and ALL profits should go to reducing the National debt.

 

So, why not take a stand in the right way and eliminate rules that prohibit marijuana use. So this is how it went down, JJ was trying to get into Mathieu's apartment complex which is obviously gated, a maintenance guy sees Jefferson trying to get in the complex without a key card, then sees Badger let JJ in. Cops are called, why? Because its a gated community and Jefferson is a big black guy of course. The cops come knock on TM7's door and detect the smell, Mathieu agrees to let them search which he never should have done, but then again I don't know what it's like being a black guy and having armed officers ask to search my shit....especially if I'm a black guy from New Orleans. So they search and find 10 bags, 7 in Bryant's backpack, 1 in a dresser, and 2 laying out. 18 grams total, a little over a half ounce, and this guy is going to get an intent charge. This is like charging you for murder for running over an armadillo, and it's plastered everywhere, like these guys are huge criminals.

 

Like I said, Im all for the legalization of weed. For the record I dont smoke. I agree with everything youre saying here. I wasnt going to get into the whole racial/poor component. I do agree its a tool used to keep control over young minorities, especially black kids. The fact is in order for these drugs to be coming in by the boatloads someone has to get paid. You never see the high ranking politicians or policeman who allow this to go on. The CIA knew about the crack epidemic in LA when it exploded. They did nothing because it was hleping fund some revolt(I believe in Nicaragua or somewhere). So big business/police/ and politicians are the real criminals in the drug trade but you wont see them arrested. Just the petty street runners.

All that aside, the fact is its illegal. TM7 had a great education handed to him. He had numerous opportunities to redeem himself. Yet he continues to use. I dont feel sorry for him. Like I said, get your act straight, go to the NFL. Makes millions and millions of dollars. Retire in your early 30s and blaze up every day for the rest of your life if thats what you want.

Agree. There's $2 trillion well spent. Just think of what else that money could have been used for instead of continuously being squandered on an unwinnable war. Legalize weed, tax it, and if ALL profit were put towards the national debt, it would be wiped out in 30 years.

 

Why do we always seem to disagree lately, I don't think it is embarrassing at all, in fact I think it makes Les look like a genius for kicking this idiot off the team before it DID become an embarrassment.

stupid, stupid, stupid! with that said, i'm so glad it wasn't anything but marijuana and i'm so pissed that marijuana is still a crime. the stuff's being prescribed for medicinal purposes in some states. with the drugs some college aged kids are using nowadays, i think marijuana is almost like having a drink. oh well, that pretty much put the last nail in TM's coffin as far as ever returning to lsu football.

 

I'm with Shane. While I would tell these 4 ex-players that they are an embarassment, the way i read Stacey and Penn's comments was the whole LSU program and all our fans should be embarrassed. To me, the only people that should be embarrassed are these 4 ex-players. Nobody else should be embarrassed. Every program has players and ex-players arrested constantly and LSU isn't close to be one of the worst programs in that regard, even if you add these 4 (trust me, Stacey's comment pissed me off so much i researched it)

 

Setting everything else discussed here aside for a minute.

Just think if they were to reclassify drug cartel as "enemy combatants", because they are, teach the Mexicans to operate Predators with maverick missles on them (G model for the mansions and armored cars) and everytime "Pablo" walks out of the only 15K mansion within miles, he has to look up, (like the Taliban does) I think things might change quickly.
