Difference is weed is illegal so until its not then there's no hypocrisy.

The illegal part is what is hypocritical.

How many of our last presidents including the current one have done drugs? How many of our readers here on this forum have done drugs? For that matter, how many cops have done drugs? Here in Los Angeles, they no longer ask law enforcement candidates if they have ever done pot as that would disqualify almost the entire pool of candidates!

One of my favorite conservatives, William F. Buckley smoked pot and when asked how did he justify that with his law and order philosophy, he said that he did it on his sail boat outside of US jurisdiction. When reminded that it was a crime to put in on his boat before he left US waters, he responded that he had found a bail of it floating in the sea, well outside of US waters.

I really think that institutionalizing lying and the hypocrisy with drugs being illegal is much worse than consuming drugs.

One of FDR's campaign promises was to bring back beer and repeal the 21st Amendment. While FDR struggled with ending the depression, at least he made it legal to have a cold one.

In four more years, the economy, no matter who is president will probably be worse than it is now (God, I hope I'm wrong on this one), but by then, we may have a major candidate running for president who will campaign to let us at least legally enjoy a joint.

I said it back in August, and it bears repeating now. If you think weed itself is the biggest problem here with Mathieu, then you're missing the point entirely.

You're right. It's shocking that anyone's still friends with Jordan Jefferson.

Whether the law against weed is bogus or not is irrelevant in this case. The fact is that it IS illegal, and these guys know that. It sucks that TM apparently can't lay off the stuff for any amount of time.

Geez, I like to have a beer or magarita or glass of wine or big-ass rum and Diet Coke--but I had no problem laying off of that for nine months at a stretch when I was pregnant with my kids.

I agree with Penn. This is embarrassing for our program. The only positive thing I can say is that none of our current players were there...
