From a position of absolutely no experience or knowledge.

Let's see . . . 4 decades of marijuana use has led me to early retirement after a college education and an award-winning professional career with over 350 technical publications. I suffer from emotional stability, physical comfort, mental acuity, life contentment, creative satisfaction, and financial wealth. I am burdened with hundreds of friends, an entertaining love life, widespread travel, and no debt whatsoever. I am beloved by internet admirers who know me only by style and wit and the appreciation of a classic cynical smart-ass. I have achieved that Valhalla of the pothead . . . the attainment of maximum slack.

Sorry if I don't particularly feel like a loser, Ace.

Seabrookcajun is the voice of many uninformed who speak from atop their altar. I'm pretty sure my parents share the same nancy Reagan view and there's no convincing them otherwise. I should have smoked pot as a teenager to make a point.

Ultimately responsibility falls on the individual. Weed is used as an excuse for lazyness or is the scapegoat. Thats a huge problem here in the US. We are far too quick to pass the buck rather than put the honus on the individual. If someone does wrong its easy to say Marilyn Manson, Tupac, etc was a bad influence. Or in this case weed, steroids, etc.

There are many people who are very successful in life. Drs, lawyers, teachers, business execs, etc that smoke weed on a regular basis. They just had the drive and determination to better themselves. The people that are the stereotypical potheads didnt have ambition from the start. So pot becomes the scapegoat as to why they arent successful and lack ambition. Truth is those people wouldnt be anywheres even if they hadnt smoked pot.

Onus and huge, not Hugh. I've seen Hugh 3 times which is somewhat troubling for an adult.

Are you sure you're not describing the negative effects of drinking?

He's describing the negative effects of most anything overdone. Like being pious and shallow.
