It's a great job, usually. In the past, I wondered if there was anything I would rather do than teach, and I couldn't say I feel like I missed the boat. As I always think, in my profession, I'm surrounded by children every day. That is better than being surrounded by adults acting like children in a job where my office would be a cubicle.

 

This is exactly how I am expecting to feel. I already help people out with things, my love is history, but last semester I helped a cute girl with physics, and another one with calculus. Then I helped 2 of my friends out with psychology and biology. I just love teaching people and it really doesn't depend on which subject.

 

Ha! Just make sure you don't think your high school students are too cute...

This was in college and I was a student (doesn't matter than I'm older). As bad as it sounds though, I do have one concern about that, but not in the US. My first goal will be to teach in an exchange program called JET, it's where you go to Japan and are an assistant English teacher, and it's mainly cultural. I do have a like for Asian women, and from friends who have been in the program before, it's not unheard of for young women to come after you as a foreigner. So yeah I will have to be extra careful while I'm over there.
