With the full understanding that prohibition has been repealed, yes I think it should be illegal. I've had too many family members drink their lives away, blow their savings, abuse their spouses, and abandon their kids all because they thought they could handle a few drinks in moderation. After all, what's the harm? Red wine is healthy, right?

 

You do realize that prohibition caused more crime in its short period of time than alcohol has caused in its entire legal period in the United States right? You know there are also people who gamble their lives away due to lack of control, there are people who can't stop having sex and buy prostitutes, there are people who ruin their marriages with affairs for the same reason, there are people who eat themselves into gluttony, there are people who play video games non stop, there are people (mainly in Bama) who take football so seriously there are sticks shoved up their asses.

Why is it the governments duty/right to police people instead of those people needing to take personal responsibility for their actions? Darwin Awards are awesome for a reason.

 

Therein lies the problem. No one knows how much they can control until they cross the line.

Weed is not addictive, well at least not chemically. Alcohol can be chemically addictive, cigarettes are most definitely chemically addictive. Weed is not, and has been proven not to be by government doctors. Is it habit forming? Sure, so is masturbation. Anything we do that makes us feel better can be habit forming. I like to fire up NCAA 2013 and regularly stomp the shit out of Bama ... it makes me feel better, it's a habit.

 

I want to teach high school, I just recently finished my degree. I went back to school while working as a manager at a data company (Acxiom, not sure if anyone has heard of it here).

 

Look, we can debate the merits or dangers of hippie lettuce all day and night. The bottom line is these 3 dumbasses and one incredibly dumb ass got exactly what they deserved. The stoners can toke away and claim it does no harm and the Nancy Regans can shout "Just say No" from the rooftops. It won't change what is the law and at the end of the day TM7 had a choice to make. He chose to put smoking dope and hanging out with proven losers like JJ ahead of what could have been a salvaged career. The real shame is people crying foul and trying to make excuses for this nimrod.
