What was the longest & shortest distances you made aces on? Hell, you probably remember the yardages on all five of them.
Norman was snake bit. He lost the Masters to Larry Mize when Mize hold a pitch shot on 11 I think it was during a sudden death playoff. He also lost another tournament when a guy (who's name I cannot remember, shocking) holed I think it was like a 6 iron on the last hole for eagle to win by a stroke. And, I think Paul Azinger beat him holing a bunker shot on the last hole in another tournament.
Don't have to remember I have the plaques! Longest was 180 yards with a 4 hybrid, shortest was 115 yards with a pitching wedge.
Assuming we would play on a weekend (Sat or Sun makes no difference to me) there are two interesting choices in September. The weekend of the 21st we play @Vanderbilt, this could be fun if it's and afternoon or night game, we can play then go to a sports bar eat and watch the game. Only problem is if that was an early game we'd sorta be phucked. The 28th we have an open date so there wouldn't be any conflicts with LSU football.
I'm thinking that would have to be a night game carried by ESPNU or something like that, SECN even. We need to settle this quickly so I can nail it down. I also need to make sure @tirk is available to carry my bag for me. If you want to see pure comedy gold you would need to follow us around the course.
A lot of people thought Greg suffered from a disease between the cheek & chest area. I thought the Masters used to be an 18 hole playoff, but I did a Google search and I was wrong. Sudden death on 18 & 10 until you get a winner. Interestingly enough the other three majors use 18 hole playoffs.
While checking on these it is interesting to note that on the 180 yard hole today I would have to hit a 3 wood, the 115 yard would be a 9 iron and 2 of them were 136 yards with a 9 iron which today would probably be 7 iron. No wonder the older I get the longer the courses play!
