Ranked 164 in FedEx Cup, 323 in the world, not likely he's flying in his own jet, maybe one owned by the Palmer company or NetJets.
I don't know how he travels to & from tournaments. Hell, for all I know he could be sitting in the middle seat in Coach. I would imagine Arnie's jet is probably sitting in a hanger somewhere. Given the amount in Arnie's estate I don't think it would be a burden if Sam used it a couple of times a month.
Yes he was. And I doubt that Arnie was using the original jet when he died. I think he could have afforded a couple of trade ins/upgrades.
When I can, I almost always show up an hour before my tee time and hit range balls. Now that I can use the range anytime I want I go more often.
An hour before tee time hitting range balls is a nice warm up for the round. Do you use the putting green prior to tee time? And I'm telling you the more time you can spend working on your short game from 100 yards in and especially around the green will pay dividends down the road. And yes, I speak from experience. Unfortunately it took me too many years for the light to come on.
Yeah that is mostly what I do now. My biggest issue right now is a fade that I don't really like but can't seem to get rid of it. I've tried changing to a stronger grip (rotating the v toward my right shoulder) as well as trying to make sure I come through the ball but I'm still coming across it. I guess it could also be my alignment which I have always had trouble with. The other issue is contact with the ball. Man it is SO inconsistent. Just have to stay down I guess, maybe longer clubs are the fix. (Yes, I've had them fitted)
Sounds to me like your swing plane is outside to in which would result in an open club face at impact. Depending on how open it is determines whether it's a fade or slice. As you stated, it also sounds like alignment could be an issue. Have you tried getting your feet square with your left foot slightly open. Have you had any lessons? ETA: You don't need a club pro to help you with alignment. On the range drop a long iron on the ground square to your intended ball flight. Have your playing partner stand behind you. Assuming it isn't @lsutiga he can tell you if you're square, open, or closed.
