I had a ridiculous lie today. Pulled my drive way left and it smacked a tree and kicked more left. When I got there I'm under a damn canopy of leaves and branches, only about 60 yds from the green but no way to get it there. I had an opening left of the green but really low, probably only 12' or so and my only chance was to try and punch it through but I had to baby it, if I smoke it I'm in real trouble. Hit it but nowhere near well enough, kept it way too low and found some other obstruction. I was out of the real junk, ended up with a double.
Did you have a shot back to fairway? If you did you had a much better chance of getting it up & down for a par than trying a miracle shot from the woods. You would have probably made bogey at worse. And yes, I speak from experience.
No, i was pretty screwed as far as options go, the thing that made it worse is I had to get over the cart path (which at this part had curbs) so I couldn't just run it through, i had to try and carry it but also keep it low, very low. It was an impossible shot for me and I jacked it up fabulously
