    Well his contract is absurd.

LSUs lowest recruiting year in the past 10 years was 12th. I 100% disagree with lack of talent.

But either way you slice it, its on BK.

Bulletin! BK has only had 1, yes that's 1 class that he has recruited. Yes 1. Did you expect 25 5 star athletes to be chomping at the bits to commit to a first year coach and staff that hadn't coached one down of football last year? Did you really expect the recruits last year to take a chance on an unproven HC and staff intead of commiting to proven programs like Bama and Georgia among many other PROVEN coaches, staffs and programs like Michigan, Ohio State etc. country wide? I really don't follow your reasoning.

NIL and the portal have drastically changed recruiting. Its no longer enough to bring in a strong recruiting class every year, you have to keep recruiting the 75 guys already on the roster because if they're not happy, its no sweat for them to be gone in a minute. The 2020 recruiting class is a great example. 22 high schoolers, 3 transfers, ranked the 4th best recruiting class in the nation by 247sports. This class should be the backbone of the roster right now, 4th year seniors and juniors. Two of them are still on the roster, Jacobian Guillory and Marlon Martinez. Just some of the names from that class that bailed on us: Arik Gilbert, Eli Ricks, DJ McGlothern, Jordan Toles, Phillip Webb, Antoine Sampah, Koy Moore and Max Johnson. Only guys we really got something substantial from in that class were Jac Roy, Ali Gaye, BJ Ojulari and Kayshawn Boutte. That's a huge hole in the roster.

Congratulations, you have described problems a head coach must address. BK has failed to keep up with talent is what you are telling me.

We only had to sign a 95 million contract to find out.

I mean, you give him credit for the offensive side right? Just not the negatives for the terrible D?

    ok

it's not even a top 5 contract Nationally.

those ranking are counting guys that were no longer even on campus when Kelly arrived.
so sure it's wonderful that O had a top 5 class 4 years ago.
none of them still being on the roster less than 2 seasons later means that ranking is meaningless.

and while there is no limit to the number of kids you can sign, you can only sign kids that are actually there.
and that was going to be a known problem before we even hired Kelly.

correct, it's his job to fix it.
give him time to fix it.

this was never going to be an overnight rebuild.

No. The rankings also include the portal. Which BK used.

    You can defend $9 million a year for a D ranked 109th.

There are systems in place to field a D with a pulse. To say otherwise is false.

You don’t need a team full of JDs to have a D not ranked 109th.

This is also ignoring how just out of place guys are.
