Just checking my sanity ... which has never been all that good. This is O's first year right? For the last several months there has been a wealth of encouragement, support, hope and excitement for the coach and the man. There was no more than the expected volume of dissenters but the overall direction was positive right? We've played, what ... 20 freshmen right? We are super thin at offensive line and now we have some serious talent missing off the D line, right? We lack depth at WR as well. We have a new OC with a very different system right? And a bunch of young guys who are playing their first time in a huge environment on CFB's big stage. Think a few things might go wrong? All of these were key contributing factors in the loss to MSU. It does no good to point fingers and start throwing blame every where. Maybe just take a breath and let this team evolve. These kids are getting put under some serious fire at a very early stage of their career. They're getting some powerful OJT right now that, with the right guidance, is going to rapidly move them forward in their development. We're are not a CFB playoff team. Marcus is right. We are mid pack. For now. We are a young team that has some gaps which need to be filled and some issues which need to be fixed. But it's all fixable. And I still believe in the coaches we have on this staff. They are good coaches who are committed to their team and their players. And there is not a coach on the planet who is going to feel more responsible for this than the one we call O. So enjoy watching this team grow and develop. My bet is the Tiger team that finishes this year will be much different from the one that started.
420 has always been the best writer on here. Wouldn't be surprised if he was an English major. Definitely a way w/words.
I haven't seen 1 person on this board call for O to be fired, or for there to be a change. Not 1. Just because some of us weren't impressed with this hire or expect some rough times ahead, doesn't mean we are asking for the dude to be fired after 1 loss.
