No, there's no reason to crown him now, although this game should have given him a quatum leap in his confidence. It is apparent that the coaches were limiting his plays until he gains confidence; that does make him play more tentatively. Now with this confidence builder, hopefully he can settle in, and not push too hard as that tends to result in bad plays....The future does look bright for him, and this game is what the whole team needed. That won't be the last time he throws a pick, but that's all part of growing up (remember JR, Flynn and Mauck). Reading the Advocate this morning, as per the quote from Scott, it is heart warming to see that the team really rallied around him...what a team, both offense and defense!

We watched Lee mature last night, and I think it was a special watershed moment for him and our "damn strong" team.

Lee showed me all that I need to know; he apparently has that "selective amnesia" that is vital to having a QB who is successful. How many times did JR throw heinous picks, only to rally us late in the 4th quarter? And wasn't MF money down the stretch in Alabama last year--after having thrown, what?, three ints earlier in the game?

We are fortunate we have a coach who believes in his guys enough to allow them to make mistakes and "live" to see another play.

Nobody here "policed" you. You didn't get deleted, infractioned, or even warned. You just got mildly criticized from several members for making a "look at me, look at me" post.

Red, sorry for the confusion. I did close her thread initially. It was and is an uncalled for thread.

Yup, and for the fans too. The fans got a very rare treat last night witnessing the impossible "transformation"(quoting Tirk) right in front of our own eyes.

    I don't understand this.

    But it's OK.

You can't venture into Pro Sports, because you're not a contributor, so if you were referring to yourself as the 'all knowing', then that is why I am confused?
