Re: Closing threads??? This is a quality beyond measure. It's one of the main things that won us a MNC last year. And this year, I personally felt the deficit was much tougher than any last year...so glad that JLee pulled through and made the team all the better for it.
As late as the early 3rd quarter, I wa perfectly ok with pulling his schollie. Sometimes we should be more patient. Glad the kid stepped up, hope it continues, glad I was wrong. Good call clair.
Re: Closing threads??? I am with you, Clair. Sometimes I think some mods are a bit too stiff that was a beautiful statement! I am finally glad to see Lee showed what he is made of; stepping up against such extreme adversity.
All things considered, Lee did a great job. That is a very hostile environment for your first road test at QB. He may be our QB, but it was just one game (although a HUGE one). Let's see what he can do against other teams. At least we know he is capable of great things. LSU should feel very optimistic because both QBs showed potential to do good things. And Clair, based on the the time that Hatch played tonight vs. Lee before being knocked out, Hatch was still the better game manager. He didn't make any big mistakes (no interceptions) and he was running the ball very effectively. Even though he only attempted 6 passes, he managed things well as the starter. We were in fine shape until the INT. I think Lee was 0 for 5 with a INT. for 6 the other way when Hatch went out. Lee just had many more opportunities to do good things later in the game. And man am I glad he did! Lee has a rocket and did a hell of a job to turn things around.
I'll give him credit. He settled down greatly in the second half but I'm not ready to crown him yet. That was a bonehead move in the 1st half and I hope beyond all hope he learned forever from that mistake. It could have, no should have cost the ballgame but since he had the stones to jump in there in the second half and redeem himself I'm behind him 100%. I figured all along that Lee would eventually get the starts and was just biding time until he had the confidence of the coaching staff and in his own ability. he went a long way in acheiving that. He may not start against Miss St but I'll bet he sees the bulk of the playing time.
Re: Closing threads??? It's always better to let others toot your horn When others sing your praises people believe it, when you sing your own people focus more own conceit.
exactly. I'm about sick of the pompous posts from Clair. Clair > anyone else And don't you dare venture into the Pro Sports forum or you'll be put in your place by the all knowing
