I actually had a good time tonight as well. I had several friends over, some of whom I had not seen in a while. My parents came over as well. We had one hell of a bbq, watched football all day long and had great conversations. I wish I had been there to support the team though, even with the bad loss.
You're young. You'll learn. Enjoy the LSU experience. No matter how badly the Tigers do, every August, here they come again. I've been following the Tigers since the 1958 NC ( I was 9 years old). It's been one of the pleasures of my life. I've watched Bear Bryant dismantle many a 7-0 team and I've seen Bert Jones embarrass a highly ranked Notre Dame team. I've seen crushing defeats and I've seen glorious victories. It's not a one time thing. It's not like 2005 is the end all and be all. We will be 10-3 or 11-2 this season. That's a good thing. Next year, we'll line up and do it all over again. Be happy that you are a fan of the greatest program in the world. Don't get caught up in the negativity of a few pathetic souls who do not know what priorities are. Enjoy it. Life is short.:thumb:
If that were the case, I would have died nearly every weekend during the fall in the 90's. I enjoyed those games soooooo much despite the usual losing results!
It's too early for me to join the sky is falling crowd, but there are some warning signs that worry me. This is one undisciplined team. Not just the penalties, but the many mistakes and missed assignments. Way too many mistakes for a veteran team, especially the Oline. I've heard rumblings about problems between Fisher and Miles all season long, and judging by our offensive problems, I tend to believe something is wrong between the two. I was surprised to see the lack of fire and emotions to last two games. Maybe this was a result of not having an offweek. Maybe it is Miles laid back attitude. I miss seeing a coach getting in the face of players during the game. As for next year, I think it'll be a tough year. We lose a lot of starters and the schedule is not favorable. I'll be more interested in seeing if we are a more disciplined team. There should be no excuses for a conservative offense with a veteran QB. I think we will all know what kind of coach we have a year from now.
What I said and what you said for me to say really meant the same thing. :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
Lack of execution comes from a lack of focus. Lack of focus stems from lack of intensity, which stems from poor coaching. Simple as that.
Why is it that people think a "laid back" attitude means he doesn't give a shiat about details? Is that just a way to describe any coach who isn't Saban? The guy is not "laid back" to the point when mistakes happen on the field he just says, "Bah...whatever." He's a head football coach. Just because he includes his family in his day-to-day life doesn't mean he's indifferent to details. What specifically does he do that is "laid back"?f
He shows no intensity on the sidelines. I compare him to Dinardo picking grass. That got us far. Mike Jr will destroy everything that Saban built in about two years.
lol, is that all you got out of my post? I said MAYBE. I didn't state it as fact. And where did I say anything about not caring about details? I gave my honest assessment without attacking Miles. You sound awfully defensive...
