I have a feeling he won't leave the friendly confines he currently is in. Ironic, they said they will play anyone anyplace, but they won't even venture off their own message board.
i'm out of town. i dont see the relevance. second is second. do you think all the teams in the west besides miss st should fire their coaches?
I could care less about what other programs do ... I don't support those schools. Second means nothing if you can't get anyone to pay attention! I was curious to know if you were local so I could ask the obvious question ... do yo support this program with your money, but since you aren't local, it's a moot point. Although I'm sure Brady would accept your donations! I suspect there are many so called Brady supporters in the BR area (and on this board) who don't buy season tix or attend games. I have disdain for these people ... I don't want to hear how great Brady is if you don't support him by showing up.
LSU won't be in 2nd for very long if they don't string together any more wins. Alabama and LSU are tied for 2nd in the West with us holding the tie breaker. People around here seem to think this team overachieved. Well LSU and Miss St were picked for the west and if Bama comes in 2nd in the west because we couldn't win any more games then LSU actually UNDERACHIEVED. Sugar coat it all you want! I don't see anyone saying he's great. It's just that he should be given more time to work (on an even playing field). I believe a coach should have 4 probation-free years in which to establish his legacy. Brady has only had one year. In his first 5 years, he was fighting with one arm tied behind his back. If there's no consistent improvement in a few years, then you have a beef, IMO.
i dont blame brady for poor attendance, i blame baton rouge. when i lived there i went to every game. i dont think it should be a coach's responsibility to put people in the seats. i think a coaches job is to win, and run a clean program. again, the fact remains, lsu is second in the west, behind a team i will put in the final four in my brackets. i do not expect lsu to win the conference every year. i expect them to go to the tournament almost every year. i think that is a realistic expectation. lets say next year's starting lineup is: bass big baby tack minor darrell mitchell regis/neltner/whipple/hudson thats fine with me, i like that lineup, if the freshman improve like freshman should, that could be a good team. so i dont think recruiting is so bad either.
Yeah, a friend of mine once had a Restaurant/Bar in Baton Rouge and it went belly up. He blamed Baton Rouge also, said everyone should have come to his place to eat and drink. Of course he didn't do much in the way of promotions, people didn't like the menu but he didn't change it, his waiters and bartenders thought they were doing the customers a favor by serving them and acted pompous. He said it wasn't his job to go out and do promotional work, talk to the customers, etc. Now he's an assistant manager running the kitchen for a dead end chain outfit. Hmmm, sounds a little familiar to me.
