Still, I think if the offense was a quick strike type of offense with RP, the defense would still be on the field for a while, and I still think it would've been a huge disappointment.
They've struggled, but a lot is mental. When you have something to play for the desire to play harder is there -- see Alabama game, and then the drop off the next week. Having a 14-0 lead and not as many pick-6's goes a long way.
It tells me that he is holding on to the ball instead of throwing it away. With his arm and athletic ability, if he was making good decisions, he should have no problem eluding a rush long enough to throw the ball into the stands. He is not competing against SEC type athletes.
:lol: he should actually hold onto the ball more than he has. throwing too soon is not a problem. the sacks are a function of being a pocket passer and his lack of mobility.
I agree. He's afraid to get hit, which was shown in that one play against Bama where he scrambled and just threw the ball up in the air and turned his back to the play. I think he's getting rid of the ball too quickly... and he's not going through his progressions. Let's just hope he has a game similar to the second half of the Troy game.
LOL, his post was referring to a post that was reffering to RP...not J-Lee. But I agree with what you're saying...even if it's a bit OT.
Without RP, they would be lucky to have score 3 TD's all season. That team around his is horrible. I dont know how he's completing over 60% of his passes with that terrible O-Line and receivers that seem to drop more passes than they catch. I mean that's obviously not the case, but what I have seen of his team, they drop a lot of balls.
