    Yeah, that's what William T. Sherman thought when he was superintendent at LSU. We have two cannons that fired on Fort Sumter guarding the ROTC building. I think the mascot just goes to show that Louisianans are a mighty tenacious bunch.

    Bitter, you have to remember, there's the south, then there Southern Louisiana. They are a separate entity altogether, IMO.

    yeah if you look at louisiana geographically as a "boot" shape. louisiana stops being louisiana above the "ankle".

    of course, this comes from someone who's only lived in metairie, mandeville, and baton rouge his whole life. but north la. feels like it could be ark. ms. or any other overly baptist bible slammin "we haven't quite mastered the preparation of seafood and don't really take kindly to alcohol drinking" small town mentaility.

    sorry north la. posters, i'll prepare for your arrows to block out the sun.
